It happened on Sunday in Salamanca, a city in the state of Guanajuato which has the highest murder rate in Mexico.
A rivalry between cartel groups has been behind a recent spike in violent attacks in the region.
The motive behind the latest killings remains unclear and investigations are ongoing.
It comes as Mexico is set to co-host the FIFA World Cup later this year.
