Rishi Sunak revealed his ‘appalling diet’ on the campaign trail during a debate with Sky News’s Beth Rigby three weeks before the UK goes to the polls. The prime minister – who has previously been nicknamed ‘Dishy Rishi’ – was asked to share something personal that might endear him to voters. He replied: ‘I actually have an appalling diet because I eat an enormous amount of sugar, and I’m very unhealthy in that regard … [people] were genuinely surprised about the amount of Haribos, Twixes and everything else that I get through, particularly during an election campaign’
