Brazil’s COP30 presidency has approved a compromise deal that increases funding for poorer countries facing global warming but leaves out any mention of fossil fuels.
Acknowledging that the deal left many frustrated, the head of the UN climate secretariat praised the delegates for coming together in a year of denial and division.
