“You’d think people would notice him standing there with his camera,” his wife Susie told Channel 4 News, “but he waited so long that people got bored, and he could then take the photograph.”
Channel 4 News filmed one of his final interviews in September last year. Three months later, he died, prompting an overwhelming outpouring of grief and admiration.
As exhibitions in Bristol and Paris celebrate his life, his wife Susie reflects on the pride she feels and the bittersweet tributes that followed.
