When the composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim died just under two years ago, the world lost one of the giants of musical theatre.
But Sir Cameron Mackintosh also lost a friend. As one of the most successful theatre producers in the world, Sir Cameron is now in the unique position to bring together a host of stars to pay tribute.
His show, Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends, opened on the West End this week. ITV News Arts Editor Nina Nannar sat down with Sir Cameron and Miss Saigon star Lea Salonga to hear why Sondheim meant so much to so many.
