Sebastien Lai, who is the son of the imprisoned media entrepreneur Jimmy Lai, has spoken to ITV News as the Prime Minister’s trip to China begins this week.
Jimmy Lai, who is a British citizen, was jailed in Hong Kong in 2020 and faces life in prison.
His family have expressed fears over his health and are calling for his release. Sebastien Lai spoke to ITV News’ Shehab Khan about his father and what he hopes will come from Keir Starmer’s visit, as well as the planned Chinese ‘super embassy’ in London.
