Fifteen cases have now been reported in and around Canterbury – including at the University of Kent, where vaccines are now being offered to some students.
Most of those born before 2015 are not protected against Meningitis B. Health authorities are racing to contain the outbreak, treating it as a national incident from the outset to help mobilise resources.
