Health minister: Maternity services have 'not been where we want them to be'

Maria Caulfield, the women’s health minister, has told Sky News she "absolutely" apologises to women who have been impacted by poor care, and says "maternity services have not been where we want them to be".

She added: "Mums should be getting a better experience than they were, and often that leads to safer births and better outcomes."
