Labour has launched an urgent investigation into "unacceptable" and "deeply concerning messages" shared in a Whatsapp group by the MP Andrew Gwynne – who was swiftly sacked as a Health Minister as soon as the allegations emerged. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
The group is thought to have included at least one other MP, councillors and local party officials.
Critics have demanded to know why none of them complained about racist, anti semitic and sexist comments.
