Originally meant to help people quit smoking, nicotine pouches are small sachets designed to fit under the top lip.
But one pouch can contain huge amounts of nicotine and, at the moment, it’s completely legal for children to buy them. Now, authorities are seizing thousands of the pouches, many with no labelling to warn people.
An investigation by ITV News has found that these seizures have more than doubled in the last year. And our findings have even prompted the Education Secretary to issue a health warning.
