Heathrow: Passengers stranded across the globe as airport shuts down after nearby fire

Heathrow Airport, Europe’s busiest and one of the world’s largest travel hubs, has been completely shut down today following a fire at a nearby substation.

The blaze, which broke out early this morning, has led to power outages affecting nearby residents.

Counter-terrorism police, along with several other agencies, are investigating the incident.

As a result, thousands of passengers worldwide are stranded, with flights being diverted and grounded.
