Hegseth: Ukraine in Nato not ‘realistic’

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says Ukraine joining Nato is not a ‘realistic outcome’ to any peace settlement with Russia.

Speaking to Nato partners, Hegseth adds it would also be ‘unrealistic’ to seek a return to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders, while also promising US troops would not be on the ground in the country.
