Holocaust survivor urges tolerance and compassion towards minorities

Holocaust survivor Janine Webber has urged people to be kinder to each other – and to show more compassion towards those from minority groups.

As the world marked Holocaust Memorial Day, the 92-year-old spoke to Sophy Ridge about the horrors she witnessed as a child.

She was living in Poland when the Nazis arrived and began murdering Jews.

Her seven-year-old brother was buried alive in front of her by an SS soldier, her father was shot dead, and her mother died of TB months later.
