Just a few days before the Conservative Party conference, the home secretary had claimed illegal migration was an ‘existential challenge’ and had hit out at the ‘dogma of multiculturalism’. The address was made to a US think tank as Ms Braverman visited Washington DC.
The home secretary has said today that multiculturalism in itself is not a problem but stated that there are communities in the UK that are not integrated who are living ‘parallel lives.’
