Home secretary plans to 'restore respect to law and order'

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper says she is "angry" Labour have "inherited" the crisis in the prison system, and "difficult decisions" are needed to turn this around.

Talking to Sky’s Sophy Ridge following her speech at the Labour conference, Ms Cooper says she won’t “pre-empt the spending review” when asked if she will make cuts to the policing budget, but will make savings "where the Conservatives have failed".
