Home Secretary Yvette Cooper visits scene of knife attack in Southport

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper laid a floral tribute at the scene of the horrendous knife attack in Southport – alongside local MP, Patrick Hurley.

She has already met the chief constable, police and crime commissioner and the mayor of the town.

Ms Cooper also spoke with some of the first responders who attended the scene yesterday.
