A homeless illegal migrant with a criminal record has told GB News he’s been begging the Home Office to send him back to Bangladesh all year but remains in the UK.
Exclusively speaking to Katherine Forster, the man – who wishes to remain anonymous – said: “If you tell me my flight ready? Now I can go now. I want to go now. I’m ready to go."
In a statement, the Home Office said: "At the time he applied to the voluntary returns service he had an outstanding police investigation. One including a shoplifting conviction back in August.
"All these police matters have since been resolved and he is now free to apply for the voluntary service again. "
