The former Hong Kong media chief and critic of China has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The British citizen was convicted in December on counts of sedition and colluding with foreign forces.
And today’s sentence in a Hong Kong court brought condemnation from the British foreign secretary and Japanese government.
Sir Keir Starmer had raised his case during his recent meeting in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Jimmy Lai is 78 and has already spent five years in prison.
