Hospital admits 'missed opportunities' in care of woman who died after eight-hour A&E wait

The twin sister of a woman who died after waiting for more than eight hours in a crowded A&E waiting room has told Sky News she believes doctors could have done more to save her.

Inga Rublite, 39, was found unconscious under her coat at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham on 20 January, and later died from a brain aneurysm.

Following a two-day inquest, a coroner concluded that Ms Rublite died of natural causes and her condition was not treatable – but added that two opportunities were missed to diagnose her.

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust offered its condolences to the family and accepted that there were "missed opportunities in Inga’s care".
