How a father's suicide could help his daughter's friends better understand the issue

Suicide isn’t funny but that can be hard for teenagers to understand when they haven’t experienced the trauma it causes for those left behind.

Evie Roodhouse was nine years old when her father killed himself.

Now 16, she decided to hold a school assembly on the issue after hearing other children joke about the topic.

She explained to Sky’s Jason Farrell how she and her family coped with her father’s death, and why she decided to take action.
