An investigation by Channel 4 News FactCheck has revealed that thousands of patients across the West Midlands were left waiting in ambulances for more than six hours this Winter.

Pressures across the system have meant A&Es are full with ambulances stuck outside for dangerously long times, unable to hand over patients. When these ambulances are waiting outside hospital doors they can’t respond to new calls – making matters even worse.
