Black boxes have been recovered from the American Airlines flight which crashed into an army helicopter and killed 67 people in Washington DC.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which is leading the investigation into the crash, confirmed to ITV News’ affiliate CNN that the black boxes were recovered on Friday and expects to release a preliminary report within 30 days.
American Airlines Flight 5342 was approaching Ronald Reagan National Airport to land when it crashed into a US Army Black Hawk helicopter on a training flight on Wednesday night.
