Donald Trump has paused the planned tariffs on Mexican imports for a month after a "friendly conversation" with President Claudia Sheinbaum.
In a joint announcement from the two leaders, they said further negotiations would be carried out and Mexico said it planned to deploy 10,000 members of its national guard to address drug trafficking.
