How electronic chips are helping obstructive sleep apnoea sufferers

An estimated eight million adults in the UK are thought to have obstructive sleep apnoea.

If left untreated, sleep apnoea can lead to hypertension, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes and various other issues which affect the quality of life.

UCLH is the first NHS centre in the UK to offer patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnoea a choice of nerve stimulation devices to manage their condition.

Sky’s Thomas Moore speaks with the patients and surgeon involved in the procedure.
