A wave of youth-led protests pushing for change emerged as a powerful movement in different parts of the world this year. The so-called ‘YouthQuake’ saw Gen Z demonstrators take to the streets, organized on social media platforms like TikTok. Some protests helped bring about real political change. But for many of the young demonstrators, involvement in these protests often comes at a great personal cost.
