The King and Queen have said farewell to President Trump and the First Lady, Melania, following their four-day state visit to the US.
The trip, in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, was the King’s most diplomatically sensitive state visit to date, amid criticism from Trump to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer over the war in Iran.
But in his welcome speech on the South Lawn, Trump celebrated the US’s relationship with the UK, saying the US had "no closer friends than the British."
So was the trip a success? And what does it mean for the future of the UK-US ‘special relationship’?
In this documentary, ITV News’ Royal Editor Chris Ship takes a look back at the highlights and most surprising moments during the four-day visit.
