The EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, has asked how many Palestinians need to be killed before the fighting in Gaza stops. Borrell was speaking at a meeting of European foreign ministers in Brussels at which several Middle Eastern foreign ministers were also in attendance. ‘The humanitarian situation [in Gaza] could not be worse,’ said Borrell, warning about mounting casualties in Gaza, before he asked ‘how many is "too many?" What does it mean “too many”? [Is] too many 25,000 people? For how long is this going to continue?’
