
Afghanistan and Pakistan reached a ceasefire over the weekend, following more than a week of clashes that killed dozens of soldiers and civilians on both sides.  The deal was signed in Doha on Sunday by defense ministers from the two countries. Pakistani Taliban militants have been waging a guerrilla war against Pakistani security forces, in the biggest terrorism threat Islamabad has faced in a dozen years. Pakistan accuses the Afghan Taliban of sheltering and supporting the Pakistani militants – which the Taliban denies.
