Former British ambassador to Russia, Sir Tony Brenton, speaks to Sky News about the scheduled ‘talks’ on Friday between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin, in Alaska.
Brenton acknowledges peace can’t be made, ‘about what’s going on with Ukraine, without having Ukraine there.’
He adds, Putin ‘wants to recover Trumps favour’ and ‘may be waking up to the fact that he has to move towards some sort of peace.’
