A Ukrainian drone attack on a Russian naval base has killed two people.
The port of Novorossiysk near the Crimean peninsula hosts Russia’s Black Sea fleet, which has played a central role in the war against Ukraine. The regional governor says the drones struck in daylight, hitting apartment buildings and a hotel. Russia has moved much of the fleet to Novorossiysk to avoid Ukrainian strikes on Crimea, which Moscow annexed in 2014.
