Nearly all of Gaza’s educational facilities have been partially or completely destroyed since October 7th, 2023, following the Hamas-led attack in southern Israel. Many children now find themselves in bombed-out classrooms or makeshift tent schools, while others are desperately trying to keep up with learning remotely. But displacement, scant electricity and internet, and the recent return to war makes that nearly impossible. CNN’s Paula Hancocks reports on the state of Gaza’s education system.
