At least 1,200 people have died and 800 are missing after cyclones and heavy rain swept across Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Thailand.
Sky News spoke to one family in Sri Lanka who sheltered for five days in the upstairs floor of their home after they were stranded by flooding.
