Around 1,000 people have evacuated the Sicilian town Niscemi after a landslide. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far.

Italy’s government has declared a state of emergency for its southern regions which have been battered by storms in the last week.
It’s estimated that Sicily has suffered €740 million worth of damage, a figure that could double, according to the regional government.
