
Hurricane Melissa will be among the most destructive storms on the planet when it makes landfall in Jamaica, a senior presenter at the Met Office has said.
"This is about as extreme as it gets," Aidan McGivern told Sky News presenter Matt Barbet.
"These kinds of winds can destroy buildings, they can cause widespread disruption to power supplies, water supplies, they are absolute monsters."
