Hurricane Melissa, which is approaching Jamaica, has been upgraded to the highest-level Category five, meaning windspeeds of 160 miles an hour or more.
It’s the strongest hurricane to hit Jamaica in decades and the government has warned people to also prepare for landslides, flooding and a storm surge of up to 4 metres, along the southern coast.
