Dawn Butler says she is "disappointed" that Sir Keir Starmer has not publicly backed the mayor of London, following criticism from the US president.
Donald Trump used a speech at the UN yesterday to accuse Sir Sadiq Khan of being a "terrible, terrible mayor" and said that under him London wants to "go to Sharia law," which is Islam’s legal system.
The prime minister has not criticised the comments or backed the mayor, though Khan has said it shows Trump is "racist, sexist, misogynistic and Islamophobic".
