India reverses order to detain stray dogs

India has reversed a plan to detain all stray dogs in Delhi.

A surge in dog bites and cases of rabies led to the initial Supreme Court order calling for all stray dogs to be taken off the street and moved to shelters.

But after animal welfare activists protested, the judges reversed their decision.
