India says 'justice served' after strikes on Pakistan: Watch ITV News at Ten

India launched attacks against several sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir in what they have called "Operation Sindoor", according to Indian Armed Forces.

A statement posted online claimed nine sites were targeted – all of which, it said, were "terrorist infrastructure".

The statement continued: "Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.

"These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable."

Pakistani security officials confirmed the attacks, saying India had fired three missiles across the border into Pakistani-controlled territory early on Wednesday.

The missiles struck locations in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and in the country’s eastern Punjab province, according to security officials.

The officials said Pakistan had launched retaliatory strikes, without providing any details.
Pakistan state-run television said that Pakistan’s air force has shot down two Indian jets, quoting security officials.
