Inflation figures ease slightly to 3.4% in May

According to official figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), inflation fell from 3.5% in April to 3.4% in May.

Sky’s Economics and Data Editor Ed Conway explains that although interest rates are still expected to fall, it’s thought they will ease slower than the Bank of England initially predicted.
