Inquiry finds Putin bears ‘moral responsibility’ for Novichok death of Dawn Sturgess

Russia’s President Putin has been accused of bearing "moral responsibility" for the "reckless" Novichok poison attack which killed Dawn Sturgess near Salisbury in 2018.

The final report from a public inquiry into her death found nothing could have been done to save Dawn’s life after she sprayed on the nerve agent from a discarded perfume bottle.

The Prime Minister said it was a "grave reminder" of the Kremlin’s disregard for innocent lives and it shows the UK must "remain vigilant" to the Russian threat.

Dawn’s family criticised the report saying it’s a "matter of real concern" that no recommendations were made.
