ITV News were given access to northern Gaza on Wednesday, facilitated by the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) -the only way for Western journalists to go there.
The IDF brought ITV News to their outposts just to the east of Gaza City. It is an area where UN peacekeepers are meant to be deployed.
To go in as a guest of the Israeli Defence Forces is still the only way to get into Gaza for international journalists, and since they were taking us to one of their outposts, we had to operate according to IDF guidelines.
