The Bank of England has cut interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point – from 4.5% to 4.25.

It’s the second time the Bank has decided to cut rates this year – at a time of growing global economic uncertainty over President Trump’s tariff policy.
If that continues to affect growth and inflation – it could lead to further rate cuts later this year.
