The search for victims killed in the crash between an American Airlines flight and army helicopter near Washington DC resumed on Friday as police boats returned to the Potomac River.
The collision is the United States’ deadliest aviation disaster in almost a quarter of a century after 67 people were killed.
More than 40 bodies have been recovered from the river as the major search-and-recovery operation continues, law enforcement officials told The Associated Press.
