US President Donald Trump has claimed Iran has agreed to "never have a nuclear weapon", as he said Tehran "wants to make a deal so badly".
Speaking to reporters in the White House on Tuesday, Trump said that his envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner are involved in talks with Iran, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance.
“We have a number of people doing it,” Trump said. “And the other side, I can tell you, they’d like to make a deal.”
He continued: "I don’t want to say in advance, but they’ve [Iran] agreed they will never have a nuclear weapon. They’ve agreed to that."
