Iranian residents are leaving their homes in Tehran after the Israeli military ordered a partial evacuation of the capital ahead of new strikes.
The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) issued an evacuation warning affecting up to 330,000 people in a part of central Tehran that includes the country’s state TV and police headquarters, as well as three large hospitals.
The warning came on the fourth day of the conflict as Israel claimed it had achieved air superiority over Iran’s skies, as retaliatory strikes from both nations continue to inflict casualties.
A state-run television show was abruptly stopped during a live broadcast after an Israeli strike on Monday evening, shortly after the evacuation order.
