Taoiseach Simon Harris announces general election in Ireland on 29 November and will ask the president to dissolve parliament ahead of voting.
He says the time was "now right" to ask the Irish people for new mandate on the government, asking them to value their vote and and in return, they’re "entitled to good government and hard work".
The Fine Gael leader thanked the say coalition parties and says they worked "hard and together for the good of the Irish people".
