Israel and Hamas ‘on verge’ of humanitarian ‘pause’ and hostage deal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is meeting his cabinet amid hopes that a deal to release some of the nearly 240 people being held hostage in Gaza could be imminent.

His ministers would need to approve any deal, which could also see a pause in the fighting for several days. Earlier President Biden cautioned "nothing is done until it’s done".
