Israel carried out what it called "extensive strikes" on Gaza overnight, effectively shattering its fragile ceasefire agreement with Hamas. Hamas accused Israel of breaking the agreement while Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to increase "military strength" against the militant group. The strikes have killed more than 400 people, and left hundreds more wounded.
