While Lisa Nandy agrees with the government, there has been disquiet in some parts of the Labour Party regarding how close the leadership has been to the position of giving full support to Israel.
Asked if her party is divided, she says "Labour has always been a friend of both Israel and Palestine".
She adds: "The only solution for the Palestinian people and the Israeli people is two states living side by side in peace."
