Israel detains medical director and 200 others after raid on North Gaza hospital

Israel says it has intercepted two long-range rockets fired towards Jerusalem from Gaza, as it carries out a major ground offensive in the north of the strip.

Patients who were evacuated from the Kamal Adwan Hospital have today given their accounts of the Israeli raid. Many medical staff, including the hospital’s director – who pleaded for international intervention just days ago, have been detained.
